The First Picture of Chris Hemsworth as THOR!

If you’ve been following the recent stream of news about Marvel Studios projects, you’d know that the latest chapter in what I’d like to call the ‘foundation’ for the future adaptation of The Avengers  is Thor.  Created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby in 1962, Thor has been a constant in the Marvel Universe ever since. The film, directed by Kenneth Branagh, is currently filming and it stars the aforementioned Chris Hemsworth as The Mighty Thor himself.

While the film is more than a year away, the very first official photo of Hemsworth as Thor has recently surfaced online and it looks awesome. Taking inspiration from Olivier Coipel’s 2007 redesign, Hemsworth’s Thor evokes a presence that is very becoming of a warrior god from Asgard.
